Word of the Week #6:

Leisure

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

-Leisure, by W. H. Davies

I still remember the day when, back in 5th Grade, I was asked to recite this poem.

I also remember that this is exactly how far I got, before my mind went completely blank.

Getting another C- was not a big deal, even back then, but somehow, my teacher’s consequent explanation stayed in my mind…

As an 11-year-old kid, with all the time in the world, it would not be the most surprising that I did not quite comprehend this concept.

Now, after having been working over 80 hours a week for the past couple of years, with several close friends working soul crushing 9-5 jobs, I am beginning to understand.

And, as we all know, this is merely the beginning…

Well, at least my work is the fun kind… What about yours?
